One and lonely...

Hey, you ever been one of those model children? The person every adult comes to when they want something inspirational done? Yeah, it kind of sucks. See, my whole life I've been getting good grades, and singing occasionally, and winning essay contests and never swearing and daydreaming a lot and being a nice young lady. So now, whenever I find myself in a group of people my age who're being just talked to or subtly castigated by a teacher or someone, I get put up as an example of 'how the teenager should be'. Of course, there are a lot of pros to being a good girl - you don't get picked on, teachers aren't too hard on you, you get looked up to, people trust you, they don't viciously slander you (much) and sometimes you get money.

So yeah, I don't want to change personalities and disappoint everyone, I just don't want to feel like a mold that others are being smashed into. I want to influence, but I hate being emulated, it's embarrassing and makes the other person look bad. You shouldn't want to be like me! You should want to be like you, except epically marvelous! So why do all the older people keep telling everybody otherwise?!

Anyway, the real reason I'm writing this is because I have this hilarious job to do - write an 8-MINUTE speech challenging others in my age group. No. Okay? No. I'm all for pushing people to grow and not waste their lives, but last time I checked, lecturing them incessantly just makes them kind of hate you. Plus I might even look snobby doing that. I'm always being compared to everyone else already - if I go up there and start ordering them around, how the heck are they supposed to interpret that positively? I'm just not a good person for this job. I'm going to tell Sister Marva tomorrow.
